To all the Veterans of war in our country, I would like to say thank you.
Thank you for risking your life and health and well being, to protect American freedoms, interests, and well being.
Thank you for all the times you entered unsure, hostile territories on behalf of your fellow Americans. Thank you for every night you were unable to sleep soundly for fear of enemy attacks, Thank you for standing guard all night to protect your fellow soldiers. Thank you for every uncomfortable, terrifying, and life threatening position you’ve ever held.
Thank you for standing up for what you believe and loyally working for the best interest of your country, no matter what some of your countrymen back at home would say or feel about the war you are fighting.
Thank you for enduring debilitating injuries, psychological traumas, and the incessant nightmares and nights of lost sleep. Thank you for holding your head high even when some Americans would actually blame, and spit on you for fighting for your country and providing undying loyalty.
Thank you for the years you’ve spent, in enemy captivity, as a living pawn in a very serious and dangerous game. Thank you for the nights you’ve spent missing your mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, wives and children, who were back home missing you and loving you as you peered into the darkness, praying that you will live to see another day, a better America, and loved ones once again.
Thank You Veterans. Thank you for feeling terrified, Thank you for remaining brave. Thank you for taking the brunt of the dissent, thank you for holding your head high and continuing to believe in your country. Thank you for continuing to live your life here even though in many cases our government is seemingly unable to repay it’s debt to you, This is a travesty. I thank you and value what you have sacrificed to serve the country who in many cases will not return the favor.
Thank you.
